I've heard that so much that I just had to try it. So I installed
POV for
ms-dos and ran the "skyvase.pov" benchmark from booting into ms-dos.
Results : 203 seconds. I ran it twice more checking that all the options
were
there as recommended : same thing. Now, in Win98, with nothing else
running and the recommended options set it renders in 101-102 seconds
(not quite as consistent). The margin is very significant. So, what am I
doing wrong ?

My machine is new, a Celeron 366A non-overclocked with 128 Meg RAM.
such a difference... I just can't explain it otherwise but that there was a
lot of swapping
through the HD ?
